FREEDOM OF LONDON. (By Electric Telegraph—Co lyrightj LONDON, October 24. General Diaz was presented with the freedom of London, and a sword of honour. 'He was accorded an enthusiastic reception.
General Monash was among the guests at the Guildhall, where General Diaz paid a glowing tribute to the English troops under Lord Cavan. At the luncheon to General Diaz, Mr Churchill revealed that Italy, at th e signing of the Triple Alliance with Germany and Austria, stipulated that under no circumstances would she become involved in a war with Great Britain.
