TYPHUS OUTBREAK.
SEVER AL FATALITIES. [per PRESS ASSOCIATION.— COPtHIOTIT.i GISBORNE, This Day. A serious outbreak of typhoid is reported at Tearnroa, East Cape district. There 1 ave been 25 eases, live or six ending intally. Of seven nurses sent from .Aucknnd, three are down with the fever. The Natives are inclined to shelter the cases until they become too had for treatment. The outbreak is attributed to want of proper sanitation in the Native settlements. Medical help is urgently needed.
