N.Z. MILITARY TEAM. .... AUCKLAND, Oct. 18

The New Zealand Military Rugby team, which recently toured South Africa, to-day defeated Auckland by 16 points to 6, after a fast, open game. Tho military team had the better of the first spell, attacking strongly. Tries were gained by Cain, Kissick, and Stohr, the. latter converting his own try.

In the second spell Auckland improved considerably, and the local men had the hotter of the game. For the military team Stohr gained and converted a try. For Auckland, Stormont kicked a penalty, and Wilson gained a try. The military played well with good combination, and took advantage of every opportunity. O’Brien, their full hack, played a splendid game.
