Samuel it was decided to print the reports of the Statutes Revision Committee on the Hoard of Trade Bill, together with the minutes of proceeding and evidence. The Education Purposes Loans Bill, Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Bill and Manawatu Gorge p> oac [ and Bridge Bill were received from the House of Representatives and were read a first time. A minor amendment made in the Mortgages Extension Bill hv House of Representatives, was agreed to. Sir -F. Bell moved the second reading of the Fishing Industry Promotion Bill. 1 . lion. Thomson said Government ought to tackle the problem of providing for the proper distribution of facilities. The Bill was read. u second time. ! I The Council rose at 3.50 p.m. J

THE HOUSE. The House met-at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. The Howard Estate Bill, New Zealand University Amendment Bill and Tost and -Teolgraph Amendment Bill were passed all stages. The House rose at 12.54. a.m.
