WELLINGTON, This Day. THE HOUSE. The House met yesterday at P m BILLS INTRODUCED. The State Forests Amendment an Native Townships Bill were introduced b y Governor’s message and read a first time. Hon. Herries explained tile latter Bill provided for making regulations by the Land Department for the disposal of land purchased in native township, under the Native Townships Act Bill. This was referred to the Native Affairs Committee. BILLS PASSED.
The Education Purposes Loans Bill, (Sir J. Allen;, and Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Bill (HonGuthrie), were put through all stages and passed. Manawatu Gorge Road and Bridge Bill was put through Committee stage and passed. The House rose at 12.35 a.m.
