AMERICAN AIR VOTE. WASHINGTON, Oct. 10. The Senate Military Committee voted a recommendation that $3,000,000 additional ho granted for Army aircraft services to Alaska during the winter. The anticipated flight will be across Canada to Alaska, with a view to demonstrating ithe success or failure of cold weather flying. Brigadier-Gen-eral Mitchell expressed the opinion that the ultimate extension of the service to Asia would be a comparatively simple matter.

Financiers consider that there is little prospect for colonial loans, unless the colonies are prepared to pay high terms, as the increase in rates for Treasury Bills indicates that money will be permanently dearer.
