[Australian & n.z. cable association!” THE WAR RECALLED. VANCOUVER,' Sept. 22. Speaking at Vancourver, the Prince of Wales said:—“Those Canadians who fought side by side with the Australian troops, east of Amiens on August Bth; last year, can never forget that that operation was one of those which shattered the whole German line south of the Somme, and began the victorious advance of all the British armies from France and Belgium into Germany. The combined attack of the Old Country, Canadian, and Australian divisions will always rank as one of the: greatest feats of British arms. It represented in a very special way the strengths which the British Empire draws lrum the unity of its self-governing democracies. I like to recall it in this Canadian city, where I stand at one of the great meeting points of the British Commonwealth.”
