WELCOME HOME.
(From a Correspondent). A very pleasant evening was spent at iSpeybnnk, Humphreys on Tuesday last, the occasion being a welcome home to Mr AY. AYilson and His bride-. A triumphal arch had. been erected at the entrance gate with a good supply for footwear for decoration. The tin-kettle orchestra gave some very lively selections outside accompanied by the skirl of the bagpipes. Then the doors were thrown open find an adjournment made to the dining room where the health of the happy pair was drunk time and again. The proceedings were enlivened with music and song, then an inspection followed of the many beautiful wedding presents, all testifying to the popularity of the young couple. Re freslimeuts were freely handed round, and a most singular incident occurred at the exact hour of midnight the clock stopped, so Mr ißeryihard rose and thanked Mrs AA’ilsnu and family for their kind hospitality and wished the bride and bridegroom all future happiness, and prosperity and a most enthusiastic welcome home and all joined in singing “For They are Jolly Good Follows” and “Anld Lang Sync” which brought a most convivnl evening to a close.
