Mr John A. Brown, who has accepted the invitation of the Otago Labour Representation Committee to contest Dunedin West, is it. member of a wellknown engineering firm, and also a prominent member of the Manufacturers’ Association.

LYTTELTON SEAT. j_t is understood that Mr W. T. Lester, Mayor of Lyttelton, will be a candidate for the Lyttelton constituency, in the Liberal interests, at the forthcoming elections.

CAN DIDATES ANNO U NOKD. Mr C. E>. Major/ announces his intention of standing as a candidate for Mujmkaii in tile .Liberal-Labour interests. The present member for that district is Sir Frederick Lang. Air J. S. Dickson, the sitting member for Parnell, lias announced his intention of standing again for the sent in the Reform interests at the General election.

Air G. J Anderson, the present member for Mataura, will ho a candidate for the scat again at the general election. Mr David ATcDougall, Mayor of Gore, and Air Norman AfcTntyre, of Tussock Crook, have also announced their intention of contesting the seat.
