The Canterbury J. C. Grand National .Meeting concluded to-day in dull weather. The attendance was good and the course in fine order. The machine handled £56,823 10s, making £167,341 for the meeting as compared against £127,341 at the two days’ gathering last year.—Results:— HUNTERS’ PLATE.—Sonny 1, Gaylight 2, Sport 3: Tiiiie 2.47 1-5. A protest against the winner, on the ground that he was, not eligible to start was dismissed. AYLESB URY STEEPLECHASE
