CABLE CENSORSHIP.

The International office at Berne notifies Egypt, is maintaining the censorship in enemy territory occupied in Palestine, Syria and Silica. Telegrams only admitted in plain languge, English, French or Italian, or authorised codes.

Censorship still in force in Italy private code not permitted. Six authorised codes only allowed (see Postal Guide, Broomliall's not permitted).

Head office Eastern Extension notifies British censorship ceased at midnight on 23rd instant., from that date telegrams accepted without restriction (except regarding delay at sender’s risk), in laccordnce with arrangements in force before the war with all British

possessions, except South West African Protectorate, United States, and possessions, and generally all parts of the World with exceptions following, in which restrictions are not abrogated by authorities concerned, Argentine, Austria, Bulgaria, Czecho-Slovakia, Estlionia, Finland, France and French possessions, Japan, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Portuguese possessions, Roumanian, Russia, including Caucasus and Russia in Asia, Servia, Sweden,} Switzerland and Turkey, including Mesopotamia, Palestine and Syria. Inland telegram may be accepted without restrictions as before the war.
