TRADES HALL DECISION. DIELBOURNE, July 23. The Trades Hall Unions held a conference, and agreed to endeavour to effect a settlement of the seamen’s strike.
INFLUENZA DECLINING
(Received This Dev at noon.) SYDNEY, This Day. Influenza is steadily declining in the city and country. There were only three deaths in the Dletropolitan area yesterday. Brisbane reports the epidemic is dying out with no deaths since tho >oth. Melbourne reports a recrudescence and thirty-four deaths, including ten in the country.
