GENERAL TRIBAL RISING
BRITISH ADVANCE EXPECTED.

ALLAHBAD, July 21
British posts in the Khyber region, bet wen Ali Mesjid and Fort Maude have been attacked by ex-Sepoy troops and disbanded native militia men. Tho attackers were. repulsed with heavy losses.
There is now further evidence of a general tribal rising along the whole length of the frontier. Several at tacks have been repulsed. Afghan peace delegates are due at Dakka on the 22nd. Their nonarrival will mean an immediate'advance by the British on Jelallabad and Mokin.
