N.S.W. LABOUR POLITICS. SYDNEY, July 17
The section of the Labour Party who recently broke away from the others have called a congress of trade unionists for August 2nd, and have issued a manifesto stating that the present state of affairs cannot continue, the remedy being the reorganisation of the political labour movement.
LEAGUE TOUR FINANCIAL SUCCESS. SYDNEY, July 17. The management of the New Zealand team reports the tour has been a financial success, provided there is no delay in the sailing homeward. A match with Orange, proposed for Saturday, has been cancelled.
MINISTERIAL APPOINTMENT. (Received this day at 9.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Mr David Storey has been appointed Minister of Health.
LABOUR MAN EXPELLED. SYDNEY, This Day. The Labour Party has expelled Willis, ■secretary of the Miners’ Federation, for assisting the extremists’ agitation towards the formation of a new party.
