POLAND ATTACKED.
GERMANS UNDER MACKENSEN. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) r AUSTRALIAN & lit CABLE ASSOCIATION] LONDON, June 2(5. A Polish official communique shows the position is serious. It states that Germans factories in Upper Silesia (near Poland) are now incessantly turning out munitions of war. There are German troops ready to seize the Davrova coalfields. The Polos are feverishly preparing to resist the Germans. Even the Polish women and children are assisting in the trenchdigging. 1 AMSTERDAM, June tV-. A wireless message just received here states:—lt is reported from Cracow (Poland) that General Alaekensen, with ail army of ten thousand Germans, lias entered into a treaty with the Hungarian leader, General Belakun and has taken command of an army of Hungarians, who are now operating in Poland against the Poles. PARIS, June 28. The Germans have begun an offensive in Poland. The town of Weirus--550w has been bombarded by them with incendiary shells. These have set it afire. The Gemans have also arrested several thousands of residents in Upper Silesia.
