To-day the Minister of Lands and party arc visiting tne northern poition of the Westland electorate, including the Rotomanu settlement. The party reaches here to-night by the Otira express. Mr Guthrie has been asked to visit Ivokatahi to-morrow. On Monday morning the party proceed to Ross and return herein the afternoon when the deputations will be taken.

The Hokitika Municipal Band will play their long promised programme, on Cass Square to-morrow afternoon, commencing at 3 o’clock. Ibis is the third Sunday the Band have announced this programme, but on each previous occasion, were prevented owing to the weather conditions. Members are asked to meet at the Bandroom at 2.15. p.m.
