The following is Rev. D. C. Bates’ weather forecast:— “The indications are for northerly from strong to gale, and veering by north to west. The weather will probably prove very boisterous; heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers rising shortly; snow in back country. Barometer falling; seas heavy; tides good.”
