The Sydney shipowners, stating they are tired of a watch and wait policy have begun advertising for crews to man their vessels. It is difficult, however, to secure any men. MOUNT MORGAN MINE IDLED BRISBANE, June 16. While, as already cabled, the Mount Morgan gold mine and works have been closed, the development and experimental work will continue. There arc About 1599 employees idled, besides 1009 others in the Mount Morgan district who are indirectly dependent on the mine, the stoppage of which will also involve closing copper refining works at Port Tvembla, (New South Wales,) idling an additional large number.

INFLUENZA DEATHS. SYDNEY, June 16. Among several prominent men who June just died from influenza, which has again started to spread, is Mr O’Hara, the recently-elected member of the New South Wales Assembly for the Paddington seat Sydney. The late Mr O’Hara has been one of the leading figures in Sydney Labour circles .
