Anti-Japanese strikes and boycotts resulting from tho Peace Conference Shantung settlement are spread ing. Japan has sent warships to Wushu and Shanghai to protest Japanese interests.
THE SHANTUNG SETTLEMENT (Received This Day at 8 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 8.
The New York “Times” Peking correspondent states the Anglo-American Association of Pekin, passed a resolution expressing disappointment at the Peace Conference decision to transfer German rights in Shantung to Japan and the conviction that tlie transfer will result in discord between China and Japan. Tine Association addressed a request to American and British Governments to devise a now and more just settlement.
