Neuter’s Telegrams - ON THE'AFGHAN FRONTIER LONDON, May 14. The situation on the Afghan frontier is well in hand. There is no information that the Amir can be identified with the acts of aggression.
THE AFGHAN TROUBLE
(Received This Day at 8 a.m.) SIMLA, May 13.
Reports from Landi-Ivotal show the Afghans were heavily punished in the action on the 11th. We captured sixguns. The enemy losses in killed were about one hundred, excluding casualties inflicted by aeroplanes. Darajat and ISannu borders are reported all quiet. The demeanour of all the independent tribes continues satisfactory. Our total casualties to the 12th were: British killed, four; wounded nineteen; Indians killed, seven; wounded twentytwo.
