POLLARD 1 ? PICTURE?.
On Monday evening next one cf the finest programmes and star pictures ever presented to a Hokitika audience will be screened by Pollard’s Pictures. No picture, was ever more appropriately named than the Select feature “ The Moth.” Norma Talmadge plays the title part ol a moth wife—a woman beating her wings against the flaming bars of convention. She had leapt from childhood to womanhood before she had time to be a girl. Her marriage is disastrously unhappy. She fails to realise the joys which her children should give her. So life drifts along for the discontented moth, fluttering constantly about the flame ol her own folly, until the appearance of a dashing and mysterious soldier ol fortune. His attentions bring her nearer and nearer to the danger mark. The intensity increases, becomes more breathless, thrill follows thrill, expectation reels dizzily, until the tremendous climax of this mighty human drama bursts in a glory of happiness.

She left her husband, but the men she had tooled were men who could never forget, and in desperation the coquette threw herself into a world that received her with open arms.
