IN MEMORIAM.
GAYGOR.—In sad but loving memory of our dear brother, Rifleman H. C D. Gaylor who was killed in action in France, March 27th., 1918. “Killed in Action” said the cables, That is nil the tale they tell Of the brave young lad who loved us, Of the lad" we loved so well. Row the life was sped we know not • What the last word, look or thought, Only that he did his duty Died as bravely as he fought. Inserted by his loving sisters, Gladys and Carrie.
WATTERS—In loving memory of Lance-Corporal Alexander Watters, f killed in action in France, March ! 27th, 1918. FOR KING AND COUNTRY. He sleeps beside his comrades, In a grave to us unknown, But his name is written in letters of love, In the hearts that he left at home. Inserted by his cousins, A. and E. Cooper, Rimu. COOPER.—In loving memory of Arthur Cooper, killed in action, March 27th, 1918; aged 28 years. FOR KING AND COUNTRY. Ho left his home, the flower of youth, He seemed so strong and brave. We little thought how soon he. would Be laid in a herb’s grave. But the saddest blow is yet to come When tlie warriors all return, And we look for our darling boy Who never will return.
