{Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of residents was held at the Stafford Literary Institute op Tuos>. day evening to arrange matters for n welcome home social to Rifleman J. C. Houthan, Mr H. W. Sandle was appointed chairman, and Mr E. J. Carroll lion, see and treas, Others present were Messrs B. Lyons, L. E. Morgan, IX K. Sinnott, G. Low, Mesdames Sandle and Blaeknmn. It wins resolved: “That the isocial lie held in Turner’s Hall next Tuesday, April Ist; that Mr Carroll he authorised to make all arrangements for advertising, music, decorating the hall, and other matters of detail. ; that the ladies’ committee be requested to provide refreshments; that all returned soldiers be cordially invited to the s<jjial; that the charge for admission be, gents 2s, ladies Is, all returned soldiers free.”
