LATE LOCALS.

The Overseas Orchestra will meet for practice this evening at 8 o’clock at the- Town Hall.

We regret to record the death of another old and esteemed resident of t 1 district in the person of Mrs Dnske of Woodstock which took place this morning. The deceased who had attained the ripe age of 84 years, had been a resident for a great many years. Deceased was a widow, her husband having pre-deceased her many years ago. She leaves a grown up family of one son (Mr Charles Duske of Denniston), and two daughters (Mrs J. Stoop of Woodstock and Mrs F- Eggeling of Hokitika). The relatives will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement. The funeral takes place to-morrow afternoon.
