ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE
Messrs M. Houston and Co. report as follows:
We held our fortnightly sale at tile above yards yesterday, the usual buyers being in attendance. Competition was not at all brisk, the fill I yarding being cleared at prices on a par with last sale. We sold on account of Mr. H. Diedrichs, 2 bullocks at £ll 7s 6d, 4 at £lO 1,2 s 6d, 1 at £l2 17s 6d; 4 at £lO 12s 6d, 1 at £l2 ss, 3 heifers at £B. 5 at £7 10s; on account of Mr T. H. Harris, 8 sheep at 20s; 19 lambs at 18s, ”
The yarding of fat stock at Arahura yesterday comprised 54 head of cattle and 110 sheep and lambs. Competition was restricted to prime and finished stuff at prices on a par with last sale. There was a heavy yarding of cow and heifer beef, which shewed an earing tendency.
Messrs G. W. Moss sold as follows: —On account of Mr R. Adamson, 2 bullocks at £ls 17s Od, 2 at £ls 10s, 2 at £ls 7s 6d, 3 heifers at £lO 7s od, 3 at. £9 12s 6d, 2 at £9 10s, 3 at £9 2s 6d, 2 at £8 15s, 3 at £8 10s; on account Mr A. Griffen, 1 heifer at £9 10s, 1 at £ 9 2s 6d, 1 ait £8 12s 6d, 2 at £B, 2 at £7 10s, 2 at £7 7s 6d, 2 steers at £7, 1 vealer at £2 6s; on account Messrs Cunningham, 1 heifer at £lO. Messrs Jeffries and Co. sold on account of Mr James Thomson, 16 fat ewes at 26s 6d, 25 lambs at 235; on account of Mr T. O’Neill, 45 ewes at 25s 3d; on account of Mrs Moynihan, 24 lambs at 235; on account of Mr W. Olderog, 1 bullock at £ll os, 2 at £9 10s, 3 cows ait £9 7s6d, at £7 15s, 1 at £7, 1 heifer at £8 12s 6d ; 1 at £7, 1 vealer at £5 os, 2 at £3 17s 6d, 2 at £3 10s. KOKATAHI STOCK SALE. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report as follows:—We held a sale of store stock at the above yards on Friday lost when there was a fair attendance of buyers Competition was very dull and passings were frequent
We sold 30 lambs at 24/-, 13 at 15/6 for Mr J. W. Morris; 15 lambs at 21/6 for Air V. Boner; 19 calves at 35/1 cow at £4 for Airs Baird; 1 cow at £7/2/6, a cow and calf at £.5, 1 at £3, fox Air R. Preston ; 14 calves for a client at £2/5/6; 1 12-mos Heifer and 1 steer at £3/17/6 for Air R.' Cropper; 16 calves at 28s fid, 17 at 25s for Air J. Fleming; ,13 18-mos. steers at £5 for Air P. Amberger; 1 cow and vealer at £7/17/6, 6 calves at 30/-; 5 at 27/- for MrD. Weir; 10 calves at 34/- for ATr E. Gale, 1 stag a t £4/15/-, 1 Cow at £7/10/-, for Air T. O’Neill; 2 cows at £4/10/-’ for Mr W. Diedrich.
