fAUSTRALIAN & N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION] MARCHING TO HUNGARY. COPENHAGEN, March 23. The paper “Berlingske Tidende” says: The new Hungarian Government includes representatives of the Hungarian Workers, Peasants’ and Soldiers’ Councils. There is a large Russian army now marching westward to the assistance of the Hungarian Bolsheviks. It has reached the Brody-Stanislau line, which is only 14 days’ march from Buda Pest. It is believed that the Hungarian crisis will effect the Czeclio-Slovak State, were Bolshevism has made great progress. HUNGARIAN SITUATION. (Received This Dav at (-.25 a in ) . VIENNA, March 23. The situation in Budapest is critical. Government declined the Entente’s ul. timatum, and is issuing a proclamation declaring a state of war between Hungary and the Entente. SOCIALISTIC GOVERNMENT. RUSSIAN ASSISTANCE ASKED. (Received this day at 11.25 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, March 24. The new Hungarian Government openly communicate they have proclaimed the socialisation of land, mines, railways,, transport, banks and important, industries. They announce they will raise a proletariat army to fight the capitalists and bourgeoise. They have sent a message to the Russian Soviet Government requesting armed intervention against, the Entente.
