LIVELY SCENES.
RED FLAC PROCESSION, rAustralian & n.z. cable association (Received this day at 10.1 b a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. There were disgraceful scenes during a streets procession from Trades Hall to the Domain, where a meeting of protest against the continuance of the War Precautions Act, was held. There ■were many conflicts between the proces■sioners and the police, the latter endeavouring to suppress the carrying of (red flags. When the Domain was reach cd the procession was confronted with a strong body of mounted police, but was eventually allowed to enter. During the night, members of the procession attempted to hold a meeting, but a large 'body of returned soldiers arrived and threatened to throw the speakers into the river and the meeting was abandoned. As a majority of the agitators, were foreigners, the soldiers proIceeded to the Russian Association rooms.. When the soldiers were approaching, three shots were fired from the rooms and after the detectives had informed the demonstrators that the Russians were armed anti would fight to a finish, the gathering dispersed.
