The "Argus” accuses the Board of Health of ignorance of the number of inilueiii'.n cases or else it says, half the number of cases has been withheld from the public., 4 The Medical Board is not yet casing any restrictions. REMOVAL' OF RESTRICTIONS. SYDNEY, -Feb. 26. Steamers trading to Tasmanian ports are now quarantined tor seven days at Sydney instead of undergoing quarantine in Tasmania. > Over 13,000 distress eases of people out of work over the epidemic have been dealt with by the Relief Board. > Masks have reduced tobacco sales by a quarter. , V special Cabinet meeting decided to remove all outdoor restrictions in connection with the influenza epidemic. The wearing of masks in the streets is not to bo enforced, but they must be worn on trains and trains and ferries. The embargo on racing lias been lifted. The opening of the theatres and hotels will lie considered on Friday. *
IN FLUENZA DEATHS. (Received This Day at 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, February 25. Influenza deaths in London last week totalled, 651, compared with 100, a fortnight ago. 3 MORE DEATHS. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. There were tlireo additional deaths of influenza, making yesterday’s total seven. At a .meeting of the Board ot lleaith one member stated ill normal times the deaths reported would not he classed as inlluetvia. Kullv twenty-live per com of the cases now rushed to the hospitals wore only ordinary colds, wieh could have been treated at home. The Minister of Works stated that even if the epidemic stopped now, the cost to the State will he £250,000.
