N Z. FORGES.

DUKE OF CONNAUGHT’S H IM BUTE. From Captain .Malcolm Ross, Official war Correspondent with the Now Zealand Forces.) LEVERKUSEN, Feb. 19. H.U.H. the Duke of Connaught, acknowledging the presentation of a mosaic airplane photograph of Re Quesnoy from the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, of which his Royal Highness is Colonel-i n-Cliief, says that it will remain a valuable memento to him of one of the most thrilling and admirable actions carried out so successfully |,y the brigade. The capture of that fortified town is, be thinks, unique in the many captures made by our troops in the Great War. He adds: “The New Zealand" troops, especially the Rille Brigade, have borne a noble share in all the fighting that culminated so gloriously last November in the defeat of the strongest military power the world lias ever seen,” I The demobilisation of the New Zealand division from Germany is proceeding steadily and .satisfactorily. There are now only some (iflOO troops in the division. Extra ships secured in England have enabled the authorities to get away large drafts from the camps, but the recent strikes have somewhat interferred with demobilisation, with the result that extra camp space has been provided as a temporary measure.
