Trawling operations now are limited to one unit in tho vicinity of Cape Farewell and oue off North Cape.

MOTOR CAR FATALITY. GISBORNE, This Day. A motor-car accident yesterday resulted in Colonel MeGredie being killed. He bad paid a visit to Morere, to attend the stock sales and was returning to his station at Mohia in a car driven by Mr Bowen of Pnritu. The other occupants were Mrs and Miss Bowen. Upon reaching a corner of the road, the party met a 5 horse waggon. To avoid a collision Bowen swerved the ear and it capsized over the bank. The occupants were pinned under the ear and when extricated it was lound .Met‘redie was dead. The other occtlp'.uis were not seriously hurt.
