The following is Rev. D. C. Bates’ weather forecast: “The indications are for variable and strong breezes but northerly winds strong to gale hacking by cast to south. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled with rain following. Barometer falling but rising shortly. Seas considerable. Tides poor.
