The Premier states it is eight days since a case of influenza has been re ported. The State will soon he practically clean. 25 DEATHS. MELBOURNE February 15. Twenty-five deaths fr'oiu influenza are reported. POSITION IN AUSTRALIA. SYDNEY, Feb. 16. The Federal quarantine authorities have announced that four days’ detention is sufficient for vessels arriving from New Zealand, providing the ship is clean and the passengers carry certificates from the New Zealand Health Authorities, stating that they were subject to three days inhalation prior to leaving. There were 25 Melbourne deaths .yesterday, but Sydney and Adelaide reports are hopeful.
DEATHS INCREASING. SYDNEY, Feb. 16. There were fifteen deaths to-day from influenza.
