DEATH AT SYDNEY, SYDNEY, Fie.b 10. Tho first death from influenza in Sydney occurred to-day.
* There were 20,000 meu idled by tho restrictions. Su l'ar 105 cases have occurred.
SEVEN MORE MELBOURNE DEATHS.
MELBOURNE, Feb. 10. Seven influenza deaths occurred here to-day.
A large number of cases are awaiting admission to the hospitals. Owing to shortage of accommodation the epidemic position is accentuated.
Some workmen constructing a temporary hospital at the Exhibition Buildings struck to-day over some dispute.
The Melbourne week-end deaths were 51, and the new cases 400.
THE QUARANTINE BREAKERS SYDNEY, Feb. 10,
As a. result of the soldiers’ mutiny on the Argylesliire, all the troops on her were transferred to-day to a special military quarantine under a police guard..
The Argyleshire’s troops consisted of a number of men transhipped at Melbourne from tlie Mainari. The latter arrived here instead of proceeding direct to New Zealand as anticipated. They hoisted 42 men overboard in life boats to go ashore.
