TRENTHAM DOMINION ART UNION

EXTENSION OF TIME. The recent epidemic interfered very seriously with the work of the Trentliam Dominion Art Union,, which was started for the purpose of raising funds to educate the children of soldiers and sailors who have served and suffered in this war. It has therefore been necessary to extend the time for the closing of this Art Union, and the Minister for Internal Affairs has granted an extension to a date which will be announced later. The Committee has now got properly to work again, and tickets are on sale in most shops. The splendid object for which this Art Union exists will appeal very strongly to the public. The debt that the people owe to the children of soldiers who have been injured or killed in this war is a ve rv great one, and most people will welcome the opportunity of furthering a cause which aims at the education of these children.

The splendid list of prizes which are offered begins with the first; prize valued at £idoo, and the complete value ot all the gifts amounts; to £6 ,300. Every is ticket has an. equal chance of winning any or alii of the prizes, and as a sporting investment the Art Union tickets are; claimed to be better than “Tatt’s.” A large announcement with full, ist of prizes appears in this issue.
