LATE LOCALS.
Thu many friends of Mr R, J. Ecclesfield, formerly Collector of Customs here, will regret to hear that owing to some foreign growth he has lost the use of an eye, and is at present an inmate of a hospital in Christchurch recovering from the painful operation.
