RAGING DATES.

FOR AUTUMN MEETINGS. NOW UNDER CONSIDERATION. (By Telegraph.—Special to Cuardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The scheme for the allocation of Racing and Trotting dates has not yet been finally determined, but it is expected to be lixefl shortly. Reefton, Greymouth, Kumara, and Hokitika Racing Clubs aro likely to be given a day each for the Autumn meetings.

Karamca applied for one day in March at Westport, but ns they usually race in January it is doubtful whether the later date will bo approved. Provision regarding a trotting date for Hokitika is somewhat obscure, but it is expected the’ matter will bo definitely settled early . The Minister informed a deputation at Wellington yesterday, that the matter of dates was for tho Racing Conference and Trotting Association to settle.
