Mr Hoover has wired to the Director of the Belgian Relief Commission regarding Von tier Laelcen and Doctor Keith’s requests for a conference. He said: “You can describe two and a half year’s arrogance towards ourselves and cruelty towards the Belgians, in any language you choose. Tell the pair personally to go to hell, with iiy compliments. If Ido have to deal w ith the Gormans it won’t bo with that pair."
