The Post Office will be open in ali branches, except Money Order and Savings Rank, from 9 to 10 a.m. The usual overland mails to Christchurch, etc., will close at 6 a.m. All other mails usually despatched on Thursday will be suspended. Town posting boxes cleared at 5.30 a.m. The postmen will make one complete delivery in the morning, commencing at 7.30 a.m. Telegraph Office open from 9 to 10 a.m., and from 7 to 8 p.m. Telephone Exchange open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. NEW YEAR’S DAY, JANUARY Ist. T!io Post Office will be closed in all branches. Mails for Greymoutli and Ross close at 8 p.m. previous evening (Tuesday). Town receivers cleared at 7 p.m. There will be a delivery over the public counter by the postmen between 7.30 and 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
