HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS,

CHRISTMAS DAY, WEDNESDAY. The Post Office "'ill fie closed in all branches on Christmas Day. All mail; usually despatched on Wednesday wil. close at 8 p.m. the previous oven inf(Tuesday), the town receivers being cleared at 7 p.m. flails suspended Ku’.uara, Aralmra, Ruatapu, Tainui and Riniu line. There will be a do livery over the counter bv postmen on Tuesday evening from 7.30 to 8.30 p.m. Telegraph Office open from 10 to 10.30 a.m., and from sto 5.30 p.m. Telephone Exchange open from 9 to to 10 a.m., and from-5 to 6 p.m. BOXING DAY, THURSDAY. The Post Office will be open in ali branches, except Money Order and Savings Rank, from 9 to 10 a.m. The usual overland mails to Christchurch, etc., will close at 6 a.m. All other mails usually despatched on Thursday will be suspended. Town posting boxes cleared at 5.30 a.m. The postmen will make one complete delivery in the morning, commencing at 7.30 a.m. Telegraph Office open from 9 to 10 a.m., and from 7 to 8 p.m. Telephone Exchange open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. NEW YEAR’S DAY, JANUARY Ist. T!io Post Office will be closed in all branches. Mails for Greymoutli and Ross close at 8 p.m. previous evening (Tuesday). Town receivers cleared at 7 p.m. There will be a delivery over the public counter by the postmen between 7.30 and 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday. Telegraph Office open Irom 9 to 11 a.in., and from 7 to 8 p.m. Telephone Exchange from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
