At a special moving of the Christchurch City Council held last night, to consider the proposal to rescind proportional representation under which the present Council was elected, the Labour members of the Council stonewallel but after a meeting that lasted for over eight hours the motion was carried at 3.35 a.m., by 10 votes to seven.
