ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.
A WEAKER MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding the above sales on Wed nesday. Fat Cattle—There was a largo yarding, tho quality was good and the demand equal to last week, except for extra heavy which were easier hut still above freezing limits. Extra steers sold to £25/5/-; good, £lB/18/- to £2O ; Light and unfinished £l3/10/- to £l6/10/-; cows and heifers £l2’to £ls, and up to £lB/5 for extra good. Store Cattle—There was a very large yarding, all classes being represented. Tho demand was a shade better than last week and not so many were passed. 3 yr-old steers in low condition sold at £l2/5/-; two-year olds £B/10/- to £9 ; mixed sexes 2 yr.-old good sorts £B/15/-; 6 Steers good £6/10/6; ordinary £5 to £5/10/-; yearling mixed sexes £4/-/- to £4/15/-. Fat Sheep—There was a very largeyarding, partly of shorn, a good deal easier than last week, hut still above freezing prices. Best wethers sold to 46/6, prime 36/6 to 42/-; lighter 31/to 35/-; others 29/- to 30/6. Ewes formed a large proportion of the entry and sold to 41/-; prime 32/- to 37/6; lighter 28/- to 31/6; inferior 23/- to 26/6. Store Sheep—There was a large <htry, comprised mostly of wethers which were dull of salo at late rates. Best 2 tooth ewes from 22/6 to 26/-, best 4-tootli wethers 28/- to 31/1; best 2tooth ewes up to 31/8; best 4-tootli ewes up to 33/9. The market generally was decidedly weaker.
