BRITISH ADVANCE ON RHINE. x LONDON, Dec. 6.
The British troops have resumed tho march towards the Rhine, and have reached a line from Kronenburg to Schleiden and Duren. A later report to-day, says: \U are marching on towards Cologne and the Rhine and have reached a hne from Rlakonheim to the east of Schhedem lliver, then to Erft and to the south of Grevenbroich. ,

Sijr Douglas Haig’s communique states: Our troops, continuing their advance, have reached a line from Rheinbach to Weilers, west of Bergheim, on to Wevelinghoven.
COLOGNE OCCUPIED. LONDON, Dec. 7. Latest reports state that the British have entered Cologne. Rt. Hon. D. Lloyd George, speaking at Leeds announced that the British Army is now marching across tho Rhine.

The Third American Army continues to advance south of the river Moselle, and has reached a general line running front Berlieavel to Malborn, Oazenbausen, on to the north west of Bernkastcl.
MARCHING 12 MILES A DAY. WASHINGTON, Dec. 6
'Hie American Army under General Hickman are advancing at the rate of twelve miles a day towards the Rhine. The American Headquarters is at present situated at Treves. Everywhere the Germans display indifference. v The inhabitants of the towns are remaining indoors with their blinds drawn.
The food supplies have been discovered' to be adequate for the people s needs.

Writing from Berlin, an English correspondent describes the Belgian entry into Aqx-larChapellc. lie says that the Belgians issued a proclamation prescribing the people’s behavioui. It was exactly a. translation of the German proclamations in Belgium. One incident during the entry demonstrated to the population that the proclamation nius be obeyed. A Belgian Divisional General stood in"the city square to take the Belgian division’s salute. When the first regiment wheeled into the equal e, files of soldiers walked along the pavement ahead of the colours, calling “Hats off.” A number of men and boys hesitated, whereupon the soldiers flung the offenders’ hats in the mud. There was no hesitation anywhere when the next regiment’s colours passed.

An English correspondent at Berlin, referring to the Belgians forcing the Germans at Aix-la-Chapelle to salute, says that a dramatic episode during the Belgian entry occurred when the strange sound of British guns was heard in the distance. Presently an unkempt and unshaved stream of men was seen marching into the city from the cast. They were British prisoners marching from Sennelager. Many of them were “Old Contcmptibles ” and they had the satisfaction of seeing Germans dofl thei, hats to them.
LATEST BELGIAN REPORT. LONDON December 7. A Belgian report states: Our advance in Rheinisch Prussia is being continued. The Belgians have occupied the left bank of tlie Rhine at Leuss, imd have also occupied Cladbacli, and Heilbach. Quiet reigns.

BRITISH SQUADRON AT WILHELM SHAVEN.
AMSTERDAM, Dec. 7. The “ Rhcinisch Westfalisclier Zeitung” states: A British squadron under Admiral Browning, arrived at Wilhelm shaven on the 4th December. Owing to a fog it anchored off Schilling in the roadstead. Admiral Browning sent a circles.. message, refusing to negotiate with the Soldiers’ and Workers’ Council at Millielmshaven.
