A RACING CONFERENCE

REEFTON, Dec. 2

Owing to influenza the West Const Racing Clubs hold a conference on Wednesday to decide whether meetings shall be held at Xmas and New Year. The epidemic is bad in Grey and Hokitika, and at Reefton is mild. .Meanwhile Reefton nominations are extended to 11th December. So far there are no deaths in Reefton directly due to lira epidemic.

DUNEDIN VITAL STATISTICS.

DUNEDIN, November 29.

Following jare the Dunedin viltnl statistics for November:—Births, 155, compared with 127 in November of 1917 ; marriages 22, against 34; deaths 221, compared with 77 last November. /Hie deaths for the preceding four months were:—July 102, August 121, September 107, October 79.
