Throughout Die Germany of to-day hatred of England is universal. Everyone from the beggar to the dotard, has his passion. Mothers are implanting in the hearts of their tiny infants, the idea that they must live for revenge and for the defeat of England. The Germans it is said, will never henceforth consider either money or comfort to accoinplsli revenge. In order to smash England they will live or die. England never had a deadlier enemy than the new Germany.
SCENES ALONG TILE RHINE. LONDON November 23. A newspaper correspondent who was despatched to Germany during the revolution describes amazing scenes in the Rhine country. The towns arc filled with people dancing and hurrahing The troops have been looting and carrying off their plunder in every description of strange equippage. Trains going through Cologne and Aix la Chapelle from the front were seen packed with soldiers whose hist act was to destroy or sell rheir rifles Helmets were sold for two pence and iron crosses for a. half-penny. Gangs of Allied prisoners were seen on route with a ghastly famine-strick-en aspect numbers dying on their feet. Large numbers of prisoners have not yet been released.
FRESH FINANCIAL PANIC
COPENHAGEN November 22
Reports here state that extremists Pave seized several of the German coast towns and have ousted the local authorities. This has caused the most severe panic known on the Berlin Stock Exchange during the last, three years.
