SHIPPING SITUATION
WELLINGTON, Nov. 14
Referring to the shipping situation, Mr Massey said this evening that he had not received official confirmation of the cabled statements regarding an improvement in the shipping situation iolotving the armistice, but he had no doubt that the position would become easier very quickly. The suspension of the transport of American troops tq Franco, and the release of many steamers employed by the Admiralty, would mean a speedy improvement in the supply of shipping for the transport of foodstuffs, and New Zealand, which had large accumulations of produce in store, would share the benefit.
