Official quarters regard the situation in Holland as much easier. The Allies are holding to ameliorate the conditions, especially as regards food.

DUTCH POSITION, AMSTERDAM, Nov. 16. Though the situation in Holland is threatening, there is no general revolutionary movement. The breaking of Germany is the increasing trouble. Many German deserters are distributing Bolshevik tracts and carrying on propaganda amongst the Dutch working classes. Troops are guarding public buildings and are ready for any eventualities. RIOTS IN DENMARK. COPENHAGEN. Nov. 15 Further syndicalist riots have taken place here. There have been eighty arrests. RIOTING IN HOLLAND. (Received this day at 9.25 a.m.) AMSTERDAM November. 16. Further riots took place in Amsterdam on Thursday when three were killed.

DUTCH REVOLUTION FAILS

AMSTERDAM November 17

The Dutch revolutionary agitation has apparently failed. Street fighting followed the Socialists’ attempt to release their friends in the military prison. Four - were killed and fourteen wounded in the disturbances. Looting continues but- provincial trade unions refused to join the revolutionaries.

Half a million Allied way prisoner.-, released from Germany are expected to reach Holland in a few days.
