The auxiliary hospital accommodation at the State School was opened on- ’ ly in time on Saturday. / Five, patients I were accommodated there that after- I noon Mrs J. H. Gifts of books, magazines etc., will he j acceptable for the use of patients, as of course, the ingredients for light food delicacies which can be made up as required at the Technical School. \t the Westland Hospital, Matron Little and her well organised staff arc havin'*’ a strenuous time. Some of the nurses are down with the complaint, hut assistance has been obtained from/ Mrs Scott. Nurse Rowe and Miss Henderson and others. Further help with the nursing will he acceptable, as every bed at the institution is occupied. Yesterday -Mr T. W. Duff M.C.C., accompanied by Roadman Hale iindMi Gronfskv, Red Cross, visited Stafford and Goldshoroug.h, and at both places the residents tyere given the opportunity of passing through an improvised inhalation An inspection ot the drains and sanitation was made also - ’ preventative measures authorised 'together with, a liberal use of disinfectants. So far it is not known that any cases of the epidemic so general throughout the district, have appeared either at Stafford or Goldshorough.
