SEVERE CRITICISM. SYDNEY, November 11. The interim report of the Royal Commission which enquired into the administration of the Public Service Board contains some very severe criticism. It discloses a certain matter, which it is anticipated will require immediate drastic action by the Government. The report states the Public Service Act lias not been fulfilled for the purposes for which it was created. The failure to secure an efficient economical administration is attributable not to defects in the Act but to lax incompetent administration.
