Mr. McLean presents at the Opera House to-morrow evening, Mary Pickford in “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, The Randall family lives . on Sunnybrook Farm and the family being so large, and the Randalls so poor, Rebecca is sent to her Aunt in New England. Her antics shock the maiden aunts and they send Rebecca to school. However she disgraces them so much, they send lier to a boarding school. M’liilst at the School Tier youtlifulness overflows in antics in fun, but after a time she quietens down and returns, a beautiful girl. Adam Ladd who had known her since childhood and had grown to love her, reminds her of a promise she made when a child, that when she grew up she would marry him. A pretty romance is woven, ‘and after seeing ..that everyone is happy and well provided for she keeps her promise. The production which is in five parts, abounds in fresh humor and youthfulness—and Little Mary is delightfully sweet in the characterisation of Rebecca. and is even better than “The Little American.” Further chapters of “The Great Secret“ will also be shown.
