The Alexander leaves Wellington on Thursday, Picton on Friday, Nelson on Saturday for the Coast.

The Jumble sale recent held at Hnri [lari in aid of the Southern Candidate For the Copper Trail competition, gave the handsome profit of £220 which i amount has been forwarded to Hokitika to the credit of the candidate (Miss Chinn). This is a splendid result for a district which has contributed freely to all patriotic appeals throughout the duration of th e war. All concerned with the effort are to he congratulated on the result.
