The English pressed us back to Soultain rc-captur-ing Presau. Owing to an American break through, we withdrew between Aisne and Clianipagnoulle. GERMAN REPORT. LONDON, November 3. A wireless German official report .states: -We withdrew southward of Deyneze, behind the Scheldt. AYe evaluated!. The enemy near Voncq advanced to a height on the east bank of the Aisne lie gaineda footing at Fallaise. The Americans gained territory both sides of Bayonville. A later German report states that the English southward of Valenciennes and the Americans westward of the Meuse gained local territory.
